On May 17, 1847, a hearing was held at the prompting of the Dietz Estate, seeking claims against Johann for services and provisions apparently provide at time the Floersch’s were settling into Weston.

Following items were itemized:

December 1843

  • 3 days worth attending family by Mrs. Dietz – $15.00
  • 3 days grazing cattle & hogs, plus killing hogs – $3.00

February 1844

  • 2 1/2 days by Jacob Dietz in & about a lawsuit by Paxton v. Floersch

  • Surveying land with TL Gordon $4.00

April 1844

  • Estates ball bill for 3
